About comparison groups ↗

Saved face and side scans are rescored with your current preferences. Composite comparisons require matching new-method reports and the same side-profile inclusion. Male/Female filters apply to saved reports. Imported files contain one numeric score per line, optionally headed score, or a JSON number array: 0–8 for face/profile and 0–10 for composites. Imports stay in this session and are separate for each aspect. Provenance and representativeness are unverified. The eight chart bins divide the selected scale; named tiers use the mapping below.

What is actually being scored?

Vantage detects facial and body landmarks on your device. Ratios and angles describe the photo. They do not establish an objective beauty rating.

01 / FACE

An image-based estimate, with separate geometry.

The frontal score uses the pretrained FaceONNX beauty_resnet18 image regressor, running locally after five-point crop alignment and exposure normalization. Six slightly varied and mirrored crops are scored, and the median is used to reduce sensitivity to a single crop or lighting change. Unstable predictions and strongly angled views request a retake. This reduces avoidable variation but cannot make different camera angles or lighting identical. It does not calculate attractiveness from six ideal proportions. The upstream 1–5 output is displayed on a 0–8 scale using (native score − 1) × 2, capped to that scale. This is a display conversion, not a validated PSL calibration. The model can reflect biases and make mistakes; its upstream release does not document overall accuracy or training demographics. Geometry lens controls change the descriptive feature matches, not the visual model’s score. Feature highlights are separate measurements, not explanations of the model’s internal reasoning. Tier labels remain subjective.

02 / PHYSIQUE

Joint geometry, not body composition.

The full pose model supplies estimated 3D joint positions when available. Shoulder/hip span and torso/leg path length are descriptive for both Male and Female selections. They do not award points for a broad-shoulder male ideal. The separate pose-quality index uses only shoulder level and trunk alignment, with weights 60/40. These are capture/posture preferences, not measures of physique attractiveness, muscularity or health.

03 / SMV

A custom visual composite.

The image-based frontal estimate and optional geometric side-profile score form a normalized weighted base on a 0–10 scale. Skipping the side profile renormalizes the base to the frontal face alone. The physique photo and body-fat estimate do not change the composite. The Female height rule subtracts 0.5 below 5′0″ or above 6′0″ and applies zero in between, including both endpoints. The Male height rule subtracts 1 below 5′11″, adds 0.5 from 5′11″ to below 6′2″, adds 0.75 from 6′2″ to below 6′3″, adds 1.25 from 6′3″ through 6′8″, adds 0.75 above 6′8″ through 6′10″, and adds 0 above 6′10″. This is a user-defined preference rule without scientific validation. The final score is capped at 0–10. It does not measure personal worth or predict dating outcomes.

04 / DEEPER OBSERVATIONS

Symmetry, eye details, and iris pixels.

Eighteen additional readings and five regional symmetry comparisons are descriptive and unscored. Left/right labels refer to image sides. Eye color is a rough heuristic based on a screened ring of visible iris pixels, excluding the pupil center and obvious highlights; it is not a trained color classifier. Small or unclear irises receive no color label. No eye color is scored higher than another.

05 / AGE + SIDE PROFILE

Apparent age uses an on-device, age-only model with single-year outputs. Its true error can exceed two years; a precise-looking output is not an accuracy guarantee. It does not verify true age or adulthood and never affects the appearance score. Side profiles use six separate projected nose, lip, chin, and facial-interval measurements; defaults are editable preferences. Occlusion and camera angle can change these estimates. The SMV base uses the frontal face and optional side profile, then applies the height rule.

06 / REFERENCES

Male/Female is your explicit benchmark selection. It is not inferred from photos. Height context uses NCD-RisC global means for 19-year-olds in 2019. Body-fat context uses historical U.S. DXA reference values. The photo range is experimental CLIP image/text similarity against hand-authored physique descriptions, not a trained or validated body-fat regressor. Photo ranges are not measured percentages or calibrated intervals. No worldwide PSL distribution or personal world percentile is invented.

CAPTURE LIMITS

One image changes with lighting, expression, camera distance, lens distortion, pose, hair, and clothing. Quality checks catch some unsuitable frames but do not validate aesthetic accuracy. Use adult photos you have permission to analyze.
